To write realistic, convincing content, I do extensive research by scouring (digital) archives, reading lots of background info, or finding out what’s new with a certain demographic. I choose which angle works best to tell a particular story and focus on the details that make it sound authentic, ensuring you’re truly transported to another world. My writing and storytelling skills come in handy here, too: I know how to get an audience involved in a story and ensure that it speaks to people from all walks of life.
In my spare time, I enjoy expanding my knowledge in many different ways, whether I’m gathering info for a blog post, trying out a new recipe or simply looking to form my own well-informed opinion. In fact, I’ve been known to say “I’ve just finished listening to a podcast/watching a documentary/reading a book about that!” in response to almost anything. My broad general knowledge and irrepressible curiosity drive me to gain inspiration in many different places, from city archives to conversations overheard on public transport, to create unique and inspiring content that truly hits different.
